Casombie — iGaming marketing platform
A playful zombie-themed experience inspired by the 19th century.

Role: UI Designer, Ui Animations, Design System
Platform: Web

The product structure and core UX were already defined when I joined the project. My role was to develop the visual direction, translate the existing wireframes into a cohesive interface, and build a design system around it.
Finding the visual language

The visual brings together two contrasting worlds: the elegance and opulence of the Victorian era, inspired by Bridgerton, and the dark, playful aesthetic of zombie theme. This unusual combination became the starting point for Casombie’s identity.
I started by exploring several versions of the entrance page, as it was the best screen for establishing the website’s overall look and feel.
After long exploration design lead and I designed playful button frames that combine Victorian-inspired ornamentation with subtle bone-like shapes. Since the website was available in 20+ languages, the components needed to adapt to different text lengths without breaking the design. I also created hover states to make the interactions feel more playful.
Cards were a key element of the website, so I designed a flexible system of frames for different content types and use cases. I also added hover animations to give the cards more personality and make them feel more interactive.
For the pop-ups, we designed an ornate, skull-inspired baroque frame. A subtle background pattern helps balance the decorative details and keeps the content readable.
I also designed the logo and icon and animated them in Figma. The animated logo was later used as a preloader, bringing the brand into the loading experience.
Scaling the style

Once the visual direction was approved, I expanded it into a full design system.
The final website spans around 20 pages and includes more than 1,000 components, ranging from highly customized decorative elements to more conventional components shaped by development constraints. The system is supported by an extensive set of variables.
Beyond the main website, I also designed a PGW widget, the Sportsbook experience, and the app.

Due to NDA restrictions, I can’t share the design system itself, but the final website is live.
Designing the Sportsbook came with a different set of constraints due to the limitations of the Altenar platform. These included restrictions on complex custom buttons, gradients with more than two colors, and decorative fonts.

Within those limitations, I focused on keeping the Sportsbook visually consistent with the rest of Casombie. Color became one of the main tools for carrying the brand identity into an interface with much less room for customization.
