The betting mechanics remained rather conservative, so that players see familiar patterns. However, we added the option of gaining extra points buy tapping the football ball. This mechanic was also well loved, as the Hamster combat game was on top of popularity back then.
We worked a lot on pleasant visualisation of tapping the ball. This mechanics was designed to keep players interested and to make them spend more time in the app.
The scores received from tapping could be later used to bet on a certain football team. The main marketing goal of the App was to keep players engaged, as we partnered with crypto platforms, there players could later withdraw the points they earned with a certain fee.
To help promote the App in a generic way we added rewards for inviting friends. The App was used by more than 300k unique users in the first week of it's existence.
In 2024 during the Football Cup my team and I created a telegram App that combined betting mechanics and gamification. The App was created in just two weeks, as it would only have been relevant before the championship.
