Casoola — Online casino & sportsbook
A bold, entertainment-driven UI for a large-scale iGaming platform.

Role: UI Designer, Ui Animations, Design System
Platform: Web

The product structure and core UX were already defined when I joined the project. My role was focused on UI: developing the visual direction and turning the existing UX into a distinctive and consistent interface.

The main challenge was balancing an expressive visual identity with a content-heavy platform that needed to stay clear and consistent across different sections, screen sizes, and types of content.
Visual direction

The visual direction was inspired by a playful, extravagant hotel atmosphere, with bold colors, rich decorative details, oversized typography, and expressive imagery.

I wanted the decorative elements to be part of the interface rather than just sit around it. They frame content, highlight important actions, and help organize dense game lobbies.
Once the overall direction was established on one screen, I developed reusable UI patterns for the main product experience.

Game cards, navigation, category controls, promotional banners, buttons, tabs, and other recurring elements all needed to feel like part of the same system while working with very different content.

The goal was to keep the interface visually rich without letting the UI compete with the games and promotional artwork.
Retro-inspired buttons are based on the look of 1920s hotel logos and signage. The decorative frames, warm colors, and bold typography give them a distinctive vintage character, while the flexible layout allows the buttons to accommodate different text lengths across 20+ languages. I also created hover states to make them feel more interactive and responsive.
Top games are ranked with hotel-style “Do Not Disturb” tags, while a keyhole animation appears on hover.
Sports cards take the form of collectible hotel postcards, with hover interactions bringing each sport to life.
Shop cards borrow from vintage hotel elevators, turning each reward tier into a different floor.
Pop-ups were styled as hotel notice boards, bringing the same visual language into more functional parts of the product without sacrificing clarity. The menu takes cues from classic hotel wayfinding, with custom icons and illuminated states helping users navigate the platform.
Scaling the style

The visual system needed to work across the whole platform, not just the main landing page.

I applied the same principles to casino categories, live casino, promotional content, account interfaces, and other product areas. On content-heavy screens, I kept the UI more restrained; in promotional areas, there was more room for decorative elements and stronger visuals.
The result is a consistent interface that keeps the hotel concept recognizable across a large and complex product without getting in the way of the content. The website is live, and you can explore it following the link.
